During the intake stage of a watch evaluation, a worker uses a watchmaker's case knife to open the back of a watch resting on a padded tray, with its strap and small parts arranged beside it

Overview

A watch can have value beyond the fact that it tells time. Its materials, condition and overall construction all form part of an evaluation, so the watch should be examined as a complete item before an offer is made.

Bring in a single watch or several pieces for review. POP'S GOLD & SILVER evaluates the items, explains the offer and pays cash on the spot if you decide to sell.

Symptoms

Why people bring in a watch

A watch that is no longer worn

An unused watch can sit in a drawer for years. A free evaluation gives you a way to understand what it may be worth before deciding whether to keep or sell it.

A watch left after a family member passed away

Inherited watches often come without paperwork or a clear history. Bring the watch as you found it so it can be examined before you make a decision.

A watch with visible wear or damage

Scratches, missing parts and a worn band do not answer the value question by themselves. An evaluation looks at the watch as a whole rather than relying on appearance alone.

Several watches that need sorting

If watches have accumulated over time, evaluating them together can make it easier to decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell.

Our process

How a watch sale goes

  1. Bring in the watch

Bring the watch to POP'S GOLD & SILVER for review. You can bring one piece or several watches at the same time.

  2. Complete the evaluation

The watch is examined for its materials, condition and overall state. Any accompanying pieces you bring can remain with it during the review.

  3. Receive the offer

After the evaluation, you receive an offer based on the watch that was examined. The offer is explained before you decide whether to sell.

  4. Choose whether to sell

There is no need to decide before the evaluation. If you accept the offer, cash is paid on the spot.

Watch Buyer questions

Answers before you book.

More questions on our full FAQ page.

Can I bring in a watch that is not working?

Yes. Bring the watch in for evaluation even if it is not running or has visible damage. The watch can be reviewed before you decide whether to sell it.

Do I need paperwork or a box?

Bring any box, paperwork or other pieces you have, but do not leave the watch at home just because something is missing. The watch can still be evaluated.

How much does a watch evaluation cost?

The evaluation is free. You receive an offer after the watch has been reviewed.

When can I bring in a watch?

POP'S GOLD & SILVER is open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
